VR400 is the older version of VR600 , go check which chipsets they run for the ADSL/VDSL modem , a Broadcom chipset is always preferable . Also check the max link speed of modem , some only do 24 MBs...

There are possibly ways to do this ;) and is the same on all VR versions of this router . Go look at some of my posts , you need to tweek a config file and re upload it , similar to getting true...
