Have you check the default gateway of your computer when the Ethernet cable is connected ? Normally the default gateway is the router's IP management address. It could be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1....

They are compatible with each other.Maybe the problem is that all these units do not talk with each other. You can install the software by running the CD and reset all the unit.
