@mamiwhereru Haha, it's a mess. I have my ISP router. from there it's run backwards through the unused cable wiring to my basement where I have a switch. From there it runs to my main TP-Link router....

@mamiwhereru No, but some switches aren't compatible with the Ethernet backhaul, the exact protocol or something. I read somewhere TP-Links work, I had a Netgear handy so I tried it and it worked....

@gelvy I replaced the switch with a different brand and everything immediately worked as it is supposed to. The original was D-Link. I had a Netgear switch available so I used that one.
