Did you try finding a free 5Ghz channel and fixing your router on that - instead of keeping it on Auto? Edit Any 5Ghz cordless phones, WiFi APs or other WiFi device near by?

How many and what type of devices are you connecting to the router? Does all your devices fail to see the SSID?
