AV2000 HW Ver. 1 vs Ver. 3?

I just bought a pair of AV2000 and they are HW Ver. 1.
I know theres a Ver. 3 out, so my question is: Should I return these and get a Ver. 3 instead or is there no real difference between them?
Or is the HW version not an updated version, but a regional version?
