TD-W9977 Won't accept incoming FTP on port 21 to server

I have been using a D-Link 2750 since 2012 as my incoming ADSL router for my FTP server so my Clients servers back up to my server at night. It has been replaced with a TD-W9977 and this new Router does not want to accept incoming ftp connections on port 21. I have a few Sealed old TD8840T's in stock and I set them up and they work like a charm. I have reported it to the local importers but was wondering if anyone else had this problem with their W9977? Everything else seems to work perfectly. I have upgraded to the latest firmware as well.
