Model : Model No. TD-W8950N

Hardware Version : TD-W8950N V1 0x00000001

Firmware Version : 1.1.1 Build 160203 Rel.51377

ISP : tpg australia

Hello
I am attempting to put this modem into full bridge mode to use with an asus router ac68u (through ethernet) but I am having some issues.

I can start from factory default -quick setup enter vpi and vci and set to bridging this way.

However something is not right as after resetting and connecting router I get access but its very unstable. Are there additional settings to be concerned about?

I have ruled out the router as I am currently using another (asus) modem in bridge mode and everything is working. I want to get the w8950n working though as that has the chipset more suited to my adsl2 connection

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello---- echo ---- anybody out there???
THis has been drivingg me insane!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I think I solved it. so after a hard reset for whatever reason all the data isn't cleared..
If I go to advance setup - wan service I get one of these;

Interface Description Type Vlan8021p VlanMuxId Igmp NAT Firewall IPv6 Mld Remove Edit
atm0.1 br_0_8_35 Bridge N/A N/A Enabled Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled

Now this would be there even after a hard reset so I removed it and then went to the quick setup and did a bridge and now everything appears to be stable

now I seem to be able to access both my router and my modem on differnet ip's.

Is this normal? Does it mean I'm not fully bridged?

I believe I have fixed it. The problem was a dell laptop on the network. It had all sorts of problems after upgrading to windows 10.
I think it was casuing an ip conflict causing modem hangups? I had no idea such a thing was possible
Installed fresh ssd and windows 10 on this laptop and there are no error entries in the router log from the last 24 hours
