TL-WR1043N Firmware upgrade and backup...

Maybe a stupid question but please help me anyway.
When i upgrade the firmware and then restore a previous backup the router will became exactly the same before?
With password, port forward excetera etcetera ?
i will pass from my actual firmware 3.12.2 Build 100820 Rel.41891n to the last version.
