Is there a way to force the router to use only 3G instead of 2G? I have weaker 3G (2 bars on the phone )signal than 2G (4 bars) - so by default my modem connects to the 2G network. However on my android phone I have a setting to force connection to 3G only and the dongle (Huawei e3531) when installed on PC also provides such option (WCDMA only as against WCDMA preferred). Is there a dial code or such that can make the router connect only to the 3G network?

Thanks in advance to any responses.

The router only reads the data from the modem.
So we can't force 3G on the router.
You can connect the modem to the PC first and set it to 3G only.
Then connect to the 3G router and check if it work in 3G network.
