Hi,

I have a AX5400 router which the AX1300 kit is plugged into. The main adapter is located in my attic room. When I connect to WiFi without using easy mesh the WiFi strength is around 35-40db. However, when I use Easymesh to use the same credentials as my AX5400 router, the WIFI signal strength is 70-80db. This strength is what was being broadcast when trying to use my router all the way on the first floor of the house. It's like the network is using my Routers WiFi, as on my devices it show poor signal, even though I'm very close to the power line adapter in my attic room.

I have checked the AX1300 is showing up in the tether app and the online gateway, all looks fine. I'm a loss to what is going on. It's odd when the power adapter isn't in Easymesh its signal strength is excellent.

Hi@Spaddywaddy,

Thank you for reporting your issue to commnunity.

May I know what are models of your router and powerline adapters? Please refer to How to find the model number of your TP-Link device

Is your network topology diagram as follows:

ISP modem—router—powerline adapter )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

Do you mean that when the router and powerline adapter form an EasyMesh network, the network signal strength becomes weaker?
Please test the network next to the router and powerline adapter separately, and make sure that when you are next to the powerline adapter, the client is connected to the powerline adapter's network.
In addition, if possible, please separate 2.4G and 5G and test them separately to confirm which band has the problem.
