Extreme slow speed with the TL-WR841N

I'm a new owner of this wireless model - and I am having some problems configuring it.
With the LAN cable I'm able to get the internet speed at a constant 50-60 Mbps, but if I connect to the internet using the wireless, I'm only able to get the speed up to 25 Mbps, but it more or less fluctuates between 1-2 Mbps and 10-11 Mbps....
Here are the basic info:
Wireless Radio: Enable
Mode: 11bgn mixed
Channel Width: 40MHz
Channel: Auto
WDS Status: Disable
I'm not sure as to what sort of configuration I need to do here in order to get the wireless to work properly...since it's supposed to be able to provide me with up to 300 Mbps! Any help would be immensely appreciated :)
