Hi

I have my Deco M5 set up as my router - it is connected directly into the Virgin Media hub - which is in modem mode.

I run a switch from the M5 - so i can have more ethernet connections.

It all runs well.

However - Ihave noticed that my connected devices in the main have strange names, even duplicating names - which has caused problems, as it duplicates names that i have on restricted times as i use the parent / child features to get my kids off to sleep at certain times....

How can i revert to the names provided by the connected devices originally?

Thanks - Pepi

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.

Are these clients all Apple devices?

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Please go to Deco APP>More>System, and check whether there is a feature called "Client Identification". If yes, please enable it first.

2. For Apple devices, please set "Private WLAN Address" to "fixed".

3. Try to manually set the device name per How to change the name of the client on the Deco app

Best regards.
