Forcing specific Deco in the network
I have read this problem already elsewhere on the forum, but I like to re-raise the issue.
I have a Deco X60v2 next to a camera which is used for baby-monitoring. This Deco-unit is ethernet-wired to the Deco-main being an BE65.
But strangly, the camera prefers connecting to the BE65-main-deco (= signal passes 3 concrete walls and jumps from first floor to ground level).
Incomprehensible, while the Deco X60v2 is straight next to the camera (no walls whatsoever, with a perfectly stable ethernet backhaul)
Rebooting the camera makes if typically connecting back to the Deco X60v2 first, but rapidly goes back to the BE65-main.
This is unacceptable as I need this camera for baby monitoring. Purchased now a baby-phone as back-up, but this should not be the case.
Forcing a client to a specific node should not be that hard to program. I have read it was implemented on older devices already (like the M5 if I'm not mistaken).
Please add this functionality in the new firmware upgrade so that people can start enjoying this very nice system to the fullest.
Kind regards,
Bert
