Hi everyone,

 

it seems my new router wont let me access Steam or the Riot client for example. It found that only those services wont work if i connect my computer vial lan cable to the router.

It functioned when I used a smartphone hotspot with a wifi dongle.

 

So far i have found and checked mulitple sources from this forum that havent worked so far:

 

- Checked if ipv4 adress is on my status

- Checked that UPnP is enabled

- Changed my dns is to 8 - 8 - 8 - 8 and secondary to 8 - 8 - 8 - 4

 

Since networks and routers arent my forte i would appreciate simple instructions.

 

And help is appreciated.

Hi, welcome to our community.

When you computer connects to the router wirelessly, is it the same problem?

1. Did you try different LAN ports on the router?

2. You may need to take port forwarding on the router to make the online gaming work.

The steps in the guide is for your reference. If you are not sure about the port number and type, it suggested to contact the game server support to confirm.

3. You may take the sim card out of the router and put it into your phone, then connect your PC to the hotspot of your phone to check.

4. If you have another sim card, please insert it into the router to check.
