Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.0 Build 20240718 Rel. 44385

Hello everyone! I recently purchased two Deco X55 units, and they've been working great, but I've encountered a peculiar issue. All of our wireless devices are working fine and speedy over Wi-Fi—much faster than my Frontier router. I do a lot of gaming on my desktop PC, so I wanted to hardwire it into the Deco using an ethernet cable. At first, the speeds were great, but I started getting seemingly random disconnects. I play a lot of online games with my friends on Discord, and I'll get intermittent disconnects every 5-20 minutes where I'll drop from both my games and Discord for a few seconds, then I'll reconnect. This seems to only happen to my PC when it's connected to the Deco with ethernet.

The Deco my PC is connected to is connected to my Frontier router. Both of the Decos are using the latest stable firmware version. Any help is appreciated!

Hi, welcome to our community.

You may follow the steps to troubleshoot:

1. Update the driver of the wired network adapter in your computer.

2. change another port on the main Deco.

3. Change another Ethernet cable between main Deco and your computer.

4. Connect your computer to the second Deco via Ethernet cable to test.

5. Change Deco network as AP mode for a try.

Thank you and best regards.
