Hello everyone,

 

I'm facing an issue with my Archer NX200 router when using a Cosmote 5G SIM card (gr).

 

I am unable to access a specific website. The website is this one: https://plaedsvip.ott.cytavision.com.cy/ and I am supposed to get 404/405 but instread I am getting a timeout error.

 

Here's a summary of my troubleshooting steps:

  • Cosmote SIM in Archer NX200: Cannot access the specific website.
  • Cosmote SIM in Mobile Phone: Website is accessible.
  • Vodafone SIM in Archer NX200: Website is accessible.
  • Cosmote SIM in Archer NX200 with VPN on PC: Website is accessible.

 

This suggests an issue specific to the combination of the Archer NX200 router and the Cosmote SIM card.

 

Steps Already Taken:

  1. Firmware Update: Confirmed the router is running the latest firmware.
  2. APN Settings: Verified APN settings match Cosmote's recommendations. On my phone, the APN settings offer numerous options; however, when creating an APN profile on the router, the available fields are limited. Therefore, the APN configuration on the router matches Cosmote's settings to the extent that the router allows.
  3. Network Mode Adjustment: Tried different network modes (5G Only, 5G/4G/3G Auto).
  4. DNS Configuration: Changed DNS servers to Google's (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4).
  5. IPv4/IPv6 Settings: Ensured the router is set to use IPv4.

 

Despite these efforts, the issue persists.

 

 

 

 

Has anyone encountered a similar issue with the Archer NX200 and Cosmote SIM combination? Are there any additional settings or configurations I should consider to resolve this problem?

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

The suggestions below are for your reference:

1. Try to temporarily disable IPv4 SPI Firewall/IPv6 SPI Firewall temporarily on the web UI of the router(Advanced>>Security), then observe whether the problem is solved.

2. Try to set the network mode to ‘4G Only’ to eliminate possible routing compatibility problems under 5G NSA networking.

3. Try to lower the MTU value 1472 on the web UI of the router to avoid carrier network restrictions.

4. Confirm whether Cosmote SIM card has service restriction (e.g. specific port/IP blocking) or requires special APN configuration (e.g. APN distinguishes between Internet and IMS services).

If the steps above do not help, please save and share the system log.

@Marvin_S Can you please specify how I can change the mtu on my router? The only way that I found is Advanced -> Internet -> Add new Internet Setup.
