[SOLVED] Deco X50 PoE with X50 Outdoor - Problem in app

Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.4 Build 20240821 Rel. 72028

Hi,

I purchased two "Deco X50-PoE" products to install in the two-floors house and a "Deco X50-Outdoor", to install on the roof.

In my TIM (provider) router, i therefore installed the two "Deco X50-PoE", very easily and via a PoE access point and Mesh system, and everything is made clear and visible both on the mobile app of my Android phone and from web to the URL "http://tplinkdeco.net" ("Ground Floor", "First Floor").
Subsequently I also connected the Outdoor product to the network, apparently easily (and the LED is correctly green and with the name "Roof"), but on the app side i don't see it, while accessing the URL from the web "http://tplinkdeco.net" i can see it. However, i see clients connected to the Outdoor product
How can I also see the Outdoor product in the map and in the list of devices? Did I miss any steps?
Thank you very much and good work.

Hi @David-TP , yes, i have resolved yesterday night smiley

I removed (i.e. simply detached the Ethernet cable) all the satellite DECOs from the TP-Link switch, leaving only the "main" active, thus the update procedure on the "main" DECO was successful.
Subsequently I reattached the Ethernet cable to the switch of all satellite DECOs, opened the app and everything was visible correctly.

Many thanks for your help.yes

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.

Could you please test whether the beta firmware versions here for Deco X50-PoE_V2 help with the current issue:

Satellite Deco Units Work Well but Display Offline on the Deco APP

Wait for your reply and best regards.

@marcoin Hi David, many thanks for your help.

I have tried to update directly by IP main Deco X50 PoE and satellite Deo X50 PoE, so i have excluded Deco X50 Outdoor.

  • satellite Deco X50 PoE is OK
  • main Deco not updated, i have browsed "bin" file, modal "Updating" is showed, but then it closed without progress bar of installing (see attached images)

Do you help me about main Deco update?

Many thanks.

Marco

Hi, Thanks for the update.

You could also log into the individual web UI for this satellite Deco x50-POE and its IP address can be found on the Deco APP, such as 192.168.71.250 here:

Best regards.

@David-TP  I logged into the web UI of the single main Deco x50-POE via direct IP, but the firmware update process (of main Deco) is not successful, I have browsed "bin" file, modal "Updating" is shown, but then it closed without progress bar of installing (see attached images).

Hi, Thanks for the update.

When I checked your TP-link ID, I noticed both Deco X50-PoEs have updated to 1.4.7 so I guess you might already have solved the firmware upgrade issue on your own.

How about now? After updating to 1.4.7, Could Deco X50-Outdoor show up properly on the Deco APP?

Best regards.
