How about Mix DECO M5 with BE65 / BE85?
Hi All.
I am wondering if I can add a Deco BE85 or Deco BE65 on my current Deco M5 network and make it the primary mesh unit.
What would be the possible issues with this configuration?
I recently finished a garden office, but the insulation makes it a Faraday cage, making Wi-Fi impossible to access inside the room. So, I have an Ethernet Cat7 as a "backbone cable" going into the structure and need to add a device to my mesh network.

Thanks @ARGamingPK1
And about issues when mixing this different technology and firmware?
Can the BE65 / BE85 control and suppress all network threads, or is this only relevant to the unit directly connected to the data consumer?
For example, Would the HomeShield service from BE65 ensure traffic security through the garden office computer?
Would the lower transfer rate on the M5's impact the BE65 - BE85 performance?
Here is a simple overview of my installation:
- I am not using the ISP Wi-Fi.
- ISP equipment provides 2.5 and 10 Gbps Ethernet ports.
- The Deco BE unit would be the primary unit.
- The 1st floor Deco M5 (1) would be linked wirelessly.
- The garden office Deco M5 (2) would be linked over a Cat7 cable.

@Eddie7_UK Yeah i think HomeShield traffic will shown in Deco App from all the Deco's and i don't think M5 (Garden) will impact on your Main Deco Unit if it's connected by (Wired) and it does'nt create any issues when u mixing (two) different Deco models.
