Dear TP-Link Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance with two issues I have been experiencing with my TP-Link router.

  1. Bandwidth Control: I am facing difficulties with the user bandwidth control feature. It seems that the bandwidth allocation is not functioning as expected, and I am unable to manage the bandwidth effectively for different users on the network.

  2. Low Data Speeds: I am also encountering slower data speeds compared to other routers in similar conditions. Despite being in a location with a stable connection, the data transfer rate appears to be lower than expected, which is affecting the overall performance of the network.

Could you kindly provide guidance on how to resolve these issues? I would appreciate any troubleshooting steps or recommendations to improve the performance of my router.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.

Best regards

King

Hi, welcome to our community.

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

For Bandwidth Control:

  • Verify that the bandwidth limits are set correctly for each user/device.
  • Check for any conflicting rules that might override your settings.
  • If available, check if Quality of Service (QoS) settings are enabled and configured. This may help prioritize bandwidth for specific devices.

For Low Data Speeds:

You may refer to this guide to troubleshoot and confirm:

What should I do if internet connection is slow when the device is connected to the TP-Link DSL Modem?

Thank you and best regards.
