Updated S4 firmware 1.5.2 and now I'm getting constant disconnects/connects
Saturday
Model: Deco S4
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.2 Build 20240927 Rel. 68997

This is on a version 3.6 with 2 identical satellites and 2 more W2400 satellites. Under firmware 1.4.1 the WIFI was stable and only one device (Eufy doorbell cam) would regularly disconnect. Now, under 1.5.2, nearly all of my devices disconnect/connect every few minutes. It is an intolerable situation. I have tried rebooting, turning off roaming and beam, and reinstalling firmware from new download, neither worked. I have read in other threads tp try changing from router mode to AP mode, or downgrading. Both of these would require recreating the the network, which I'd rather avoid. Is there any other solution that doesn't require such drastic measures?

Hi, welcome to our community.

From the official website, we can see that many functions are added to Deco S4 V3.6, which may increase the burden on the CPU.

It is suggested to remove 2 Deco W2400 temporarily, then test the connectivity of all the client devices.

If it gets better, we may focus on the coverage problem.

SOLVED: sort of. I wanted to watch the light color to see if it changed when all the disconnects occurred. So, I lay the main S4 on its side. Huh? No more disconnects. I left it on its side for quite a while to be sure, then turned it back upright and all the continuous disconnects returned. So, now it has been lying on its side for several days and no more disconnects (except the nightly one from the Eufy cam at approx 2 AM). I don't know what the issue is, but I'm happy to not have to downgrade and recreate the network. I'm happy to leave it on its side if that's what it takes to maintain a stable WIFI.
