Connection problem with Windows 8.1
Connection problem with Windows 8.1
Region : Denmark
Model : TL-WA850RE
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.14.4 Build 130313 Rel.63007n
ISP :
Does anyone have any idea about this:
After upgrading a laptop from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 it can no longer get network connection through the TL-WA850RE range extender. It makes the WiFi connection, it gets a valid IP address and gateway from the DHCP in the main router (D-Link DIR-655), but it just don't work. It cannot communicate with my internal network nor does it have any Internet connectivity. If I make sure the laptop connects directly to the router WiFi everything works fine. But when it connects to the range extender no connection.
The laptop has worked fine in the exact same setup just before the update (it actually downloaded the 8.1 update through that connection). Our other WiFi devices which counts 3 different Android devices are still working through the RE.
I have tried restarting both the router, the RE and the laptop several times. I have deleted the WiFi connection in the laptop (command prompt needed for that in Windows 8.1, thank you very much Microsoft..!) and re-entered WPA passkey etc. upon reconnection. I'm kinda running out of ideas...
