What product to buy that works well with my DecoP9?
Hi everyone, I have three Deco P9 that might no longer be enough. Since during our house renovation we were able to pass some ethernet cable, I was wondering what other product I can add to my network to improve the coverage. I'm interested in knowing if there's also a device that would allow to put my USB3 hard disk and do so that is available to the newtork like my old Airport Extreme is doing.
It's crucial to me that the new devices supports 2.4GHZ as well and offer Mesh support like P9 does.
Just to clarify, the new devices would be put in place in addition to the current setup
Thank you!

Hi, thanks for posting question here.
According to your needs, only Deco models can meet.
First, different Decos can work together to set up Deco mesh network and you may refer to this guide to know more: Can different Deco models work together?
And here is the list that Deco models have USB port and it is suggested to check their specifications to make sure it is USB 3.0 port and the models are sold in your local markets.

Thank you @Marvin_S, is there any other model, perhaps less recent, that would offer USB3 support and cost a bit less? It seems that the first price would be almost £600

Hi, it is pity, the list I shared is all the models that support USB 3.0 port and it seems that all of them are recent except Deco X73-DSL.
USB port is a newer addition compared to other functions, so some older Decos models do not support it.

Thank @Marvin_S , I will think about the alternatives.
In case I would renounce to the USB3, I can look for any DECO model? Is there something better than the P9?

Hi, if USB port is not necessary for you anymore, you will get a lot of choices.
It is still suggested to look at the models on the official website. I think the Filter tool is very useful to choose according to your need.
And you can see Deco P9 belongs to Wi-Fi5 generation under Wi-Fi Standard, so Wi-Fi 6&6E&7 generations are more advanced models.
But please note, Deco P9 is special, as it supports Powerline backhaul. If it is a necessary feature for you, this guide should be helpful: General Questions about the Powerline or PLC Backhaul Feature of Deco

I think I'll proceed buying the Deco BE65 BE9300, can you please confirm that:
1. I can use the USB port to connect an external hard drive and make it available for the network
2. It will work well with the current p9 decos (I'll use one of these new units connected to the modem and from this unit I'll then connect a switch where one of the P9 will be connected)
3. The USB port is a 3.0 type Thank you
