Model: Deco BE65 Pro   Deco X50   Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20241110 Rel. 19378

Hi there,

I have recently upgraded my Deco mesh network with the introduction of Be65 (x3) and Be65 Pro (x3) models. They work great and my problem starts when I try to connect the X50's (x3), which were my original mesh network models.

I have rebooted them, reset them, tried again and again. Followed all the directives provided by the FAQ's in the app. Ive also tried to find answers in the forums and elsewhere online and to no avail.

They connect fine, then flip back to yellow after a minute, then start flashing red, until going green again. This begins the sequence all over again after a minute aprox. Ive tried linking them with Ethernet to the main Deco and other satellite units and nothing. All 3, all do the same.

I have seen others have this issue on here, but the answers seem to end up in a private email I guess, because Ive found no solution.

Please help.

Nigel

  @-Kiwi1973-

Hi, welcome to the community.

There was similar feedback last week:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/714830?replyId=1444814

Is your Deco X50 also V1_1.6.1 firmware?

-If yes, there is a beta firmware for Deco X50 that would help with this issue.  I'd like to follow up on your case and please check whether you have received my email.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Re:Adding Deco x50's to my mesh network

@David-TP Hi there. Apologies for the late reply life has been crazy busy.

So I ended up removing the x50 from my network as I never got around to downloading a solution that was offered by another tech guy. BAsically I was supposed to create a new network somehow, and then plug in a deco to my laptop and then download the new firmware/patch or whatever. Sadly when I finally got around to doing that, the download link had expired, and I wrote back to him, only he has never replied.

My situation is as follows.

I have taken the 3 decos to my sisters house and attempted to connect them to her network, which already has 2 Deco x20 units running. The problem is my 3 x 50 unites connect to her netowrk, run for a few moments and then reset and cycle again through yellow, blue flashing then green, rinse and repeat.

Ive rest them many times, and it never resolves the issue.

IS there something I can do to remedy this issue please?

I have attacged a screensot of the current firmware version of my x50 deco units.

Nigel
