Hi , I am using an wifi 5 supported router as my primary router on ground floor through excitel optical fibre 300mbps plan , I have Archer ax10 ax1500 model wifi 6 router , if I use it as an access point through lan cables on first floor for my wifi 6 supported laptop, will I get wifi 6 network support and speed from the Archer ax10 as access point or it will be limited by the primary router and I will get wifi 5 support only .

Hi  @Hrhwkalrbdb,

Please check if the Ethernet port of your WiFi 5 router is a Gigabit Ethernet port. If it is, both AX10 and your WiFi 5 router can be used as the main router to connect to the modem.
The main difference between the two routers is the performance difference in WiFi speed. You can place the WiFi 6 router Archer AX10 on the floor where the clients that need high WiFi speed are located.

If the Ethernet port of the WiFi 5 router is a 100M port, it is recommended that you change the connection order to Archer AX10+Wi-Fi 5 router to improve performance.
