Hi there, i searched the Forums but couldn't find if this is yet possible after 3 years with the last post in 2021 saying it wasn't.

I'm looking to find out if any TP-Link LTE routers support VPN access as a client. I'm looking at travelling and the ideal solution is that the router acts as a VPN Client and provides the access to the VPN provider, prefered ExpressVPN as the travel destination blocks most VPNs through DPI, to all of the connected devices. I will use a wired connection most of the time, BUT NEED LTE FAILOVER.

I cannot see that this is such a niche request for an LTE Router in these days of state intrusion into Internet traffic.....

Hi, welcome to our community.

According to your description, here lists two models for your reference:

TL-WR1502X is suitable for travel, which supports VPN client but needs to work with USB dongle. You may refer to its specifications to know more.

Deco X50-5G supports to use SIM card for internet access, which also supports VPN client after updating the latest firmware version but a fixed power supply a required.
