Deco X50 v.1.2 vs v.1.0
I buy 2 weeks ago on Amazon one Deco X50 and arrive with firmware Deco X50(EU)_V1.20_1.4.5 Build 20240828 and after i buy another Deco X50 but this arrive with Firmware Deco X50(EU)_V1_1.5.5 Build 20240718,
I also read on this forum that the firmware version 1.0 has more features than version 1.2. So I ask you better to return the deco with the firmware version 1.2 so maybe I will receive another one with version 1.0?
Thank

Hi, Nice to see you again.
Deco X50_V1.2 will support similar features as Deco X50_V1 later. It is just the firmware release process of V1 is faster than V1.2.
Furthermore, V1.2_1.4.5 has added "EasyMesh" which hasn't been added to V1 yet.
Thank you very much and best regards.

@David-TP thanks for the explanation but I can't read into the future yet... :-)
would you recommend replacing that with version 1.2 or leaving it as it is and waiting?

Hi, the satellite Mesh units are mainly used to extend the Wi-Fi range. So for me, I'm glad to have two different versions so that I can switch different units as the main Deco to test the new features.
While for most home users, they prefer to have united versions and you could consider returning V1 or V1.2. The awkward point is that online retailers often don't highlight the hardware versions. So if you want a specific hardware, you might need to pay attention to the HW printed on the product label.
How to find the hardware version on a TP-Link device
Thank you very much and best regards.
