Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.8.69

I noticed recently that my Deco System was giving low slugish connection speeds.

We have Fibre to the premises (FTTP) receiving around 980Mb download and around 900Mb Up.

The Deco system first unit is hard wired to an EERO 6+ unit to get its connectivity to the fibre.

If I test wired into the first deco unit I get readings around 150MB

If I wire into the eero unit I get Speed Tests over 850Mb

If I speed test over wifi on the first Deco Unit Iget Speed Tests around 150mb

If I speed test over wifi on the eero unit I get over 850Mb

I have looked through the app and it is set up for both 5 GHz and 2.4Ghz.

I have ran tests wired with wifi with my Surface Laptop.

I have ran tests over wifi my Iphone, Ipad & TV.

Software according to the app is upto date.

We have looked through the app and can't see any setting that may help this situation please advise by return.

Hi,

It seems that the EERO device is working as the main router. In this case, you can also change the Deco into AP mode.

And you can also change the WIFI settings to 5G only. Usually 5G will provide higher speed.

Besides, please also check the wired speed you get from the main Deco.
