Model: Deco X80-5G
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,
I have a Deco X80-5G with LTE and I provide Wifi through it and I have a PBX connected to it.

I need to connect another part of the building that has its own provider and its own wiring for now.

My idea is to buy another Deco and connect it to the X80-5G and extend the network over it so that there is only one network everywhere.

My question is whether any Deco (what I'll be adding) allows me to connect to the existing DSL ISP. So I would have both LTE and DSL, with the primary communication going through the LTE X80-5G router and then through the new DECO via DSL during an outage.

Is this feasible?

Thanks,

Martin

Hi, welcome to the community.

For the DSL backup connection, I guess you already have a DSL modem and the new device will be connected via an Ethernet cable?

I'm afraid there hasn't been a Deco model which could meet your needs.

However, there is a solution for using a DSL connection as the main service and LTE service as the backup.

Deco X50_V1_1.6.0 supports Hybrid-Mesh mode

Thank you very much and best regards.
