Model: RE700X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have 2 questions in setting up my RE700X as an access point.

1) Should the DHCP server in the RE700X be set Auto, On, or Off ? I set it to off thinking my AX55 Router will now make all the choices, but not sure if that is correct.

2) Why would Network Settings in the RE700X be set to Auto, instead of  a fixed IP ?

Hi,

After you set it up as an access point, the DHCP server would automatically off. The main router will works as the DHCP server in your network. You can also change it to off in this case.

When it works as the access point, it will automatically get an IP address from your main router. If you need, you can also manually set up a fixed IP for the range extender. Please make sure it is within the main router's IP pool.
