OH! I just clicked around in the interface, we now have independent AP isolation back again, but with A LOT more control just like I requested half a year ago in this thread. Thank you TP-Link!!! You are the best :)))) Now I can finally stream to my Chromecast without having to turn off my smart lamps (being worried if they will be a security risk). Amazing! Now there's also a dedicated IoT network, but why bother when you can isolate every single device you want? That's a little confusing to me. But I digress. Amazing update, 100% wonderful :)
Edit: Confusion gone as per this thread - No need to enable IoT network, just isolate high risk devices.

I noticed that the CPU usage went up a bit (10-20%) after the update.
Turns out, the firmware enabled LAN Flow Control TX without my knowledge. I have no need for that, I have maybe 6 devices connected at once at the most. CPU usage went down again to 16% average. My model only has a dual core mind you ;)
Tether app also have new features all of a sudden, but I rarely use them. I still can't figure out how to completely disable Homeshield, which this model isn't even supposed to support (hence why I picked it). It's in there in the Tether app for some reason though.

My 5GZ network is useless after this firmware update, some devices cannot connect to it. Any Ideas ? Where can I download the previous firmware if I cannot fix this ?

@vBDKv so in desperation i tried searching the Apple forums and a guy said he changed his HDMI cable and everything worked fine.
Why would a HDMI cable not like the new firmware update ? what has a HDMI cable got to do with the network anyway ?
Don't know why, but I tried it and it connected straight away and never had such fast download speeds !!!
I am completely lost as to how this works !!!!!

@Miloplex Never heard anything like that before. Super strange indeed.

@vBDKv "If your Mac Mini M2 is experiencing HDMI cable issues after updating your router's firmware. particularly when connected to the 5GHz band, it's likely that the firmware update introduced a compatability conflict with your Mac Mini, potentially causing issues with the network handshake or specific settings related to the 5GHz band"
From a search somwhere on the web.
so a firmware update causes specific devices with certain HDMI cables to have problems with the 5GZ network and in my case a cable change immediately fixed the problem.
Hoping this helps someone and hoping someone can explain how the heck a HDMI cable type on a specific device, in my case the Mac Mini M2 can cause connection problems on just the 5GZ band. I am truly flummoxed but a quick google search will confirm this is an issue.with many people.
