Hi, it is more like to be always consistent with the internet service provider. If the ISP has updated its network and switched to another IP range, your previously configured static IP will no longer be valid. And if the public/IPV4 IP on the Home router is static, It is easier for others to track your network activities.

For the always-changing IP addresses on iPhones, there might be another possible reason. Apple devices use "Private Address" by default and it will randomly change its MAC address-https://support.apple.com/en-us/102509.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Thanks for your answer and explanations. I'll consider to switch to a dynamic IP system and change my NAS IP although it will be trouble some with so many devices connected via SMB.

For the iPhone private address, yes my iPhone14pro using such setting and it maybe the cause as well. Now tracking Deco X50 with fw 1.5.5 and if any issue arises, I'll come back to you.

Hi you try to ether install beta or downgrade to previous stable firmware.

See thread: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/703810.

Red diode during boot after upgrade to 1.5.5
Wednesday - last edited Wednesday

Hello,

I want to ask if is normal that after upgrade I getting constant red light fod few seconds during boot of deco X50? If I need to downgrade fw.

I have two packs of X50s. One with FW 1.2.2 and one had 1.3 and accidentaly upgraded to 1.5.5.

When I reboot 1.5.5s light seqence on main unit  goes yellow-red(2s)-green. Sometimes yellow-blue(0.5s)-red(1.5s)-green. It is normal? Because 1.2.2s main unit boot is just yellow-green.

(I am just worry because I had M5 and they died for constant red light.)

Colors are same for Router and AP modes. For both habe Dynamic IP from main routerboard.

So I want to rather know if downgrade to 1.2.2 will vanish that red light. Thank you.
