Advice on best move
I just got a TL-PA7017P to connect my router to my PC using ethernet port, then realised I need another ethernet port for my CCTV system but it only has 1 port. What do you think is the best move I should make? Get a single TL-PA7017P for the CCTV system? Would that make it slower in any way? I'd want the best speed/latency on my PC as I sometimes play online games. Or should I replace it with the TL-PA7027P which costs more? Or could I use any TP-Link powerline adapter for the CCTV system like a TL-PA4010P?

You could use a regular network switch connected to the TL-PA7017P for expanding your ethernet port connectivity.
You could use TL-PA4010P as well:
Q: Are all TP-Link Powerline adapters compatible with each other?
A: TP-Link Powerline adapters utilize HomePlug AV/AV2 Standards, which means all of our Powerline adapter models are compatible with each other and can be used within the same network. However, please bear in mind the overall Powerline rate will adopt the lowest HomePlug AV standard rate when using various TP-Link Powerline adapter models in the same network.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't think about the network switch, would that be a better or equal solution to using a TL-PA4010P since the TL-PA4010P is slower?

Ahh thank you so much. I was looking at the LS1005G but got confused by it saying 10/100/1000Mbps, thank you for confirming it's gigabit. I will look for one on that list.

Hi Terziyski, another question regarding the network switches. I noticed the TL-SG105 has QoS but the LS1005G doesn't. The TL-SG105 only costs a bit more, is it worth the extra price for that feature taking into account my use case of only using 2 ports (1 for computer and 1 for CCTV)?
