Had to reset password on router
I have a c5400x and had to reset my password in the admin page. Password was not incorrect why was this?

I could still log in via tether app but had to reset my password for the admin page as said was incorrect.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.
Can you log into the router's page us on Tether app using the same login password that you have tried to log into the web interface of the router? They should be identical.
If you forgot it and still need to log into the router, I am afraid that the only way is to factory reset the router.

@Marvin_S I have no resolved the issue. I could log on the tether app fine but could not log into the router via the interface as said password was wrong. Just found it very strange

Hi, may I know the model of your TP-Link product?
Can you log into the the device on Tether app?
Did you try factory reset and reconfigure it?
