Hi. I have just read but want to confirm. If I have a power line adaptor. Does the receiver need to have connection to the router WiFi. For OneMesh to work. So the powerline connection does not transfer data to allow OneMesh to work.

If so. Does this not make having OneMesh as part of a powerline extender setup redundant.

i have just setup a one mesh adaptor and it won't connect to WiFi and signal strength in tether app shows almost nil.

cheers

Hi, to add powerline extender to a OneMesh router and build a mesh network, the topology would be like this:

OneMesh router---ethernet cable---powerline adapter---electrical cable---OneMesh powerline extender.

As you can see, the OneMesh powerline extender still communicates with the powerline extender via powerline instead of connecting to router's WiFi.
