Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 20230906 rel. 52143(4555)

My 2.4 Ghz drops out almost every day or two.

it completely gone phone shows no 2.4 ghz, 2.4Ghz security camera doesn't work anymore andthen also  my old HP (2.4ghz) printer does not connect anymore.

only the 5G network and 5G guest are available then (they are stable)

2.4 Ghz comes back again after reboot.

I need some help to get it stable.

There is no interference in the air I checked that by my wifi analyzer.

my 2G wireless security set at :  WPA2-PSK[AES]+ WPA-PSK[TKIP}

transmit power :  high

channel widt :  auto

channel :  auto

mode :  802.11 b/g/n/ax mixed

Guest2G

security WPA2/WPA3-Personal

guests allowed to see eachother

My 5G is okay and stable WPA3-Personal+WPA2-PSK[AES]+WPA-PSK[TKIP]

transmit power : high

channel width :  auto

channel :  44 (was the best channel to use (checked it with wifi analyzer)

mode :  802.11 a/n/ac/ax mized

Additional settings:

WMM enabled

Short GI enabled

Zero wait DFS enabled

other settings are: IPv6 Dynamic IP(SLAAC/DHCPv6

IPv6 LAN option SLAAC+Stateless DHCP

operation mode :  wireless router(current)

  @Sunshine

Yes indeed disappears completely no client device can see it.

different names I have already

and no usb on the router.

but........ after I changed the bandwidth to 40 mhz on the 2.4ghz Wifi and I enabled MU-mimo(in 5 ghz section) last Sunday evening, the 2.4 ghz stays stable,

so one of these changes must have that effect on the router.

but now the the air conditions are fine outside (nice weather, no clouds and rain) and i don not know if that influences it.

but I am optimistic that the problem was solved by these last two changes.

the change I made earlier was:  I have turned off GI short and I have set the 2.4 ghz channel on a fixed position.

so my advise to others with the same problem with 2.4 ghz Wifi on the AX6000 TP-link router

use the settings i mentioned in my post and then

turn off GI short (because it has issues with the mode mixed).

set 2.4 ghz Wifi channel bandwidth at 40 mhz.

set 2.4 ghz Wifi the channel on a fixed position (use Wifi Analyser to define the right channel number to use, in my case i on channel 9).

set 5 ghz Wifi  MU-mimo at enabled.

I am glad to have made these changes.

I'll let you know at the end of this week if it continues stable.

  @Wimm

I have put off the Gi short, because i saw, that can cause issues, with the use of (802.11) with mixed setting.

now I have to wait if this could have caused the problem 2.4 ghz not working.

any other suggestions are welcome

Hi, 2.4G main network and guest network will disappear completely, no client device can see it, right?

Please make sure the 2.4G WiFi name is different from your 5G WiFi name to recognize it easily.

In addition, please remove any USB device from the router if there is.

I already have different names for 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz. I do not have a usb device connected at the router. I have changed the 2.4 Ghz bandwidth to 40 mhz and I have enabled MU-mimo. and today I have still the 2.4 ghz. I 'll wait another day to see if it has become stable in the past weeks the 2.4Ghz wnet dead every day or two. maybe it helped these last changes?????

  @Wimm

After 2-years of working fine with no changes the 2.4 became intermittent then stopped working. I updated the firmware with no change. Then I found this thread and then turned off GI short.

It started working again.
