Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20230522 Rel. 68968

The Deco app is constantly telling me I need to update the 2 x Deco X50's to 1.2.0 build 20231229 Rel. 43148, so I run the update via the app, it completes and says successfull but when checking the X50's they still show the old firmware level. The Deco app then scans again and says I need to install the update again. I 've tried manually updating with the same results.

  @kingm

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you tried to update the firmware via web UI?

It is also suggested to refer to the following suggestions:

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Hi David, I tried all the ways that the TP articles suggested but last night I tried manually one last time and it appears to have worked. Seems like a very flakey/buggy process.

Deco X50v1.2 Firmware Comparison

I have a different but related problem with my X50. I have two sets at two different locations. Both are hardware v1.2. One set upgraded itself from firmware 1.1.0 Build 20230522 to 1.2.0 Build 20231229, and it's working great. The other set is stuck at 1.1.0, and no amount of checking for updates changes that it says it's up to day. To make it even more confusing, the manual download page only offers v1.1.0, with no mention of 1.2.0. This is despite it having a build date of nearly 3 months ago! Has 1.2.0 been pulled for some reason? Or is the update process really just this bad?
