Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 20230731 Rel. 64427

While setting up my 3 unit mesh I have encountered the following problem which makes the system unusable.

The main deco unit has a hard (ethernet) connection to the router and works fine.

Originally, one of the satellite units connected (green LED).  This was positioned in a different room to the main unit but on the same floor of the house.

The second satellite unit (positioned upstairs from the main unit) would not connect and showed a flashing red LED.

I brought the second satellite unit downstairs to try connecting it when it was next to the first (working) satellite unit.  It would not connect and showed a flashing red LED.

I switched off both satellite units while I did some research on what the problem might be and when I turned them on to try and connect to the main unit again, neither of them will connect to the main unit.  They both show a flashing red LED.

I'd appreciate any help in resolving this problem as if I can't fix it in the next day or so the units will be returned and I'll have to find something else :(

Many thanks

  @analog_99

Hi, welcome to the community.

Do you use a POE supply to power up both satellite Deco X50-POE? Or are they plugged directly into the wall sockets?

Could you please help me run the following test:

1. Temporarily unplug both satellites Deco X50-POE.

2. Power on the first satellite X50-poe first. Wait for a moment and check whether it would reconnect to the main X50-poe.

3. Then power back the second satellite and check whether it can reconnect to the main unit.

By the way, the Wi-Fi 6 Deco units in the same package are pre-configured. It is also suggested to reset these two satellite units once by holding the reset pinhole for 1s. Then they should be able to reconnect to the main Deco X50-POE automatically.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP

Thanks for your reply.

All 3 of the deco units are powered by mains electricity, not POE.

I've tried your suggestions but powering the satellite on did not connect them, and resetting didn't work either.

Is there anything else I can try?
