Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi all please indulge me as at my age this is far far to complicated.

I currently have a VR2800 and VDSL and am looking to get fttp connected within the next six months. Also looking to buy Deco XE75 due to fining a good price for 3 units.

My question would be, is it possible whilst I still am connected via VDSL VR2800, to connect the Deco XE75 to the VR2800 and turn off the VR2800 WIFI and only use the Mesh system Deco XE75 wifi.

If so what would be the setting on the VR2800 that is need tobe changed, once I have connected a Deco unit via Ethernet cable to it.

Hopefully I have explained myself adequately, if not please ask and I will respond.

Thank you all.

Yes, it should be possible. No changes on the VR2800 will be necessary, other than turning off the VR2800 WiFi.

-------------

VDSL VR2800 has four Ethernet ports and two USB ports. If you plan to use VR2800 Ethernet ports (other than one Main Deco will be connected to) and also its USB ports (for printer, etc.), you will need to make change in Deco mesh to make everything work together. The change is Switching a Deco to Access Point (AP) Mode

If you plan to connect only Main Deco to VR2800 and nothing else, that change is optional.
