RE650 does not detect 5ghz band from my router
Hi all
I had purchased this RE650 sometime back
now I have airtel xstream with 200mbps unlimited speed
I get the 2.4 and 5 ghz speed on my host router but the 5ghz band is not detecting on the tplink extender

Ok. It's an "EU" model as indicated on the serial number sticker.
Channel 44 should work fine with an EU model. Have you already tried it?
By the way, you can find out which channels are supported by your particular RE650 if you switch it to "Access Point" mode (click on the "Mode" icon in the upper right of the admin webpage) and then go to the Wireless Settings for 5 GHz and click on the "Channel" drop-down selector.

Hi,
Does the label on the backside of your RE650 read "Model:RE650(US)..." or "Model:RE650(EU)..."?
In case it is the latter, then make sure the 5 GHz radio of your Airtel router is not broadcasting on channel 149 or higher. "EU" models of routers and extenders can only use channels up to 140.

I spoke to tplink support they asked me to get the host router to channel 44 for both bands to use them
