Firmware Version: 1.5.8

Hi All

I have recently upgraded from Virgin 600 to the Gigabit service they provide. Originally when getting the Vorgin 600, I bought the M4 Deco and it served perfectly for the connection I had.

I installed the new virgin router today and on the Wifi through that I am reaching speeds of 900mbps however if i transfer over onto my Deco network, that drops to 400 in the same room.

Am i seeing some form of throttling on this. I am using the Virgin router as a router and the Deco is set as Access Point.

  @MrRussells

Hi, welcome to the community.

When the internet service has updated to 1G, you might also consider updating the Deco as well, such as our Wi-Fi 6 Decos:

For Deco M4, It has a gigabit Ethernet port so the Ethernet connection could still get close to 1G/s. However, the wireless connection might be a problem. Its wireless specs are

5 GHz: 867 Mbps (802.11ac)
2.4 GHz: 300 Mbps (802.11n)

Basically, the expected 5Ghz internet speed would be 350-600m/s. So 400m/s out of Deco M4 is not that bad.

Thank you very much and best regards.
