No WIFI on one X50
Hello,
I've installed three X50 devices.
DECO said : everything OK !
But I have no 2,4GHz on one of them ...
My three X50 are all wired.
Strange ??

Deco mesh does not have an option to turn off WiFi for a single node. If WiFi analyzer does not show one of X50s broadcasting on 2.4Ghz, that could point at hardware issue with the unit.
Run the following test: disconnect problematic Satellite X50 from Ethernet, bring it to room where Main Deco is, power on that Satellite X50 and let it connect to Main Deco wirelessly. Then, open this Satellite Deco X50 status page in Deco app and see what type of connection it reported, example:
If instead of (2.4GHz/5GHz) it shows only (5GHz), this X50 unit for sure has hardware issue.

@GD91 Finally, the guilty part was ... the wire!
I replace it by another one 'in the air' and I got the 2,4GHz immediately !
Probably a problem with the plugs ...
It's really strange, because it is good enough for the PC, for DECO and other equipments plugged on it ... but not for 2,4 GHZ DECO ....
And, it was electrically tested !

How have you found that one of your Satellite X50 does not broadcast on 2.4GHz? Also, it is Satellite Deco that has a problem, not Main Deco, correct?

@Alexandre. Broadcast is OK on the main DECO, and also on a first satellite.
My first satellite is wired to the main one.
My second satellite is wired to the first one.
On the second satellite, I have plugged a PC and it is OK.
But, I have no broadcast on 2,4 GHz !!! Only on 5GHz ....
My GSM does not show any WIFI on 2,4 Ghz ant this is confirmed with a WIFI analyser app ....

@Alexandre. I made the test you explained, this morning : it was successful !
I made another test : I wired this second satellite to the first one with a short wire : it was successful too !
I bring this second satellite at its place (around 15 meters) and plug it (it is wired with the first satellite as it was in the previous test)
--> it was not successful : OK in 5GHz, not ok in 2,4GHz
Successful when connecting a PC via Ethernet!
I tested the wire : OK !
So, I have no idea at all ...
I'm going to exchange the two satellites ....
After having exchanged the two satellites : I still got the same issue ... in the same place !
So, the X50 are not responsible.
This issue seems more and more strange ....
Any idea ?

I am out of ideas. If Satellite Deco reports 2.4GHz/5GHz link to Main Deco, it means its 2.4GHz hardware module working correctly. Why can't you find 2.4GHz from that Satellite Deco in WiFi analyzer, I would not know.

Thanks for investigation and update. It is really useful and was learning experience for me. Hopefully, the rest of your experience with Deco mesh will be the smooth sailing.
