I have an Asus ZenWiFi AX Hybrid set, which is 2x ASUS AX3000. I want to extend this mesh WiFi network with a" TP-LINK Deco M4 Mesh" which is 3x Deco M4 units. Are these devices interoperable over their WiFi v5 or v6 mesh networks? I assume the Decos have no powerline backhaul too :(

I can't find anything online about inter-brand interoperability and even ChatGPT is playing dumb.

Hey

In short the answer is NO they wont work together via mesh.   Most vendors (not specifically TP Link) lock the mesh to only work with other hardware from that same range (Deco for example).   I am not aware of any off the shelf hardware that will work with another vendor.

You would be better buying an additional Asus ZenWiFi node if possible.
