UPnP not working on ax3000 router
I installed this router about a month ago and now UPnP has stopped working on my home network.
I have it enabled on the router. This should be a no brainer! I can see the UPnP servers, but no media is found with any clients including VLC on any Android device. My Roku also can't find any media now.

Hi,
For sharing of media files within the local network there should be no UPnP needed.
Do you have dedicated DLNA media servers inside your network or are you sharing media files from a storage device that is connected to the router's USB port?

@woozle Hi, thanks for replying. Yes, I have a Windows machine serving media to my roku, 2 Android TV's and 2 Firesticks. It has worked well for years until I replaced my ASUS router (which was acting up) with the TP-Link one. The roku just hangs (snake chasing it's tail) while trying to find media on the server and the firesticks say there is no media available.

Is it possible that the server entries you see on the player devices are just remnants from the time of the "old" network with the ASUS router?
Have you tried deleting the old server entries manually and then searched again for media servers? (this is what I need to do on my Sony TV if I connect it to a different network)

@woozle I don't think that is possible with an Android tv or phone or firestick. They always refresh when loaded, just as Windows does. I'll try that on my older "smart" (non Android) Sony tv and see what happens. Thanks

@woozle Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. So it turns out the latest Windows 11 patch turned off media streaming. Thanks Microsoft! LOL
