@Sunshine Thanks, i have tried your suggestion and different arrangements, but with no luck as it still blocks my computer at startup. as soon as i switch the extender off my PC works, the extender can then be turned back on again.

i just can understand how a wifi devices block Ethernet ports?

It is working now,

i set the extender to a static ip address of 192.168.1.150 on my router.

i use the 'tether' app, I set the extender DCHP settings to 'Enable' and an IP pool range of 100-188. not sure if this is the best range, but my PC seems to be allocated 200 and above, so there is no cross over. it is working at the moment.

If there was more issues, my next thought was to set the range to 02-20, as the extender shouldn’t need to many IP leases.

interestingly, prior to the DCHP setting, the Wi-Fi extender was showing my PC as a wired client, even though the PC is connected into the router not the extender.

  @Help2023 Thanks for your reply. I did what you said, but unfortunately it didn't work. After how much time did your pc got connected to Ethernet? I mean did your configuration work at once or took a time?

  @Help2023 Okay! I checked on my router for this setting. On network map I found my extender's details (img 1), on routing section in network settings I found the settings (most probably) you are telling me about (img 2) and when I click on the button add new static route, this (img 3) came. Now can you tell me, what entries should I fill here?

you can give it any IP from 02-255 but maybe try my settings.

IP Address - 192.168.1.150
IP subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Gateway IP Address - 192.168.1.1

Metric - Not sure
Interface - Not sure
