Hello,

 

I have a new TP-Link AC1200, I have connected it to a Virgin super hub 3. The Wi-Fi signal is intermittent, the green indicator light comes on and off.

 

I know the AC 1200 is ok as I have tried two of them with the same results, I also know that the super hub & cable is good as I have connected another TP link access point to the super hub and get a constant signal.

 

Even without changing any settings on the AC1200 when powering up and connecting the LAN cable the internet signal is intermittent.

 

Is there a setting I need to change as it sounds to me like a communication issue? When the signal is on I do get a strong Wi-Fi signal.

Make sure the ac1200 wan port is set to auto negotiate

Hi thanks for the info, cannot seem to find that on the router page, hiw would i access that setting?

Hi,

 

Is the model Archer C1200, or Archer C6? If you search AC1200 on TP-Link website, you will see there are different models.

 

You can check the LED status by referring to the product manual. If the internet LED is green, that means the internet on the router is working.

 

If the internet is red or orange, then you can go through this FAQ to troubleshoot.

HI, it is the  AC1200, the led to show internet connection is green, then goes off completely, then orange and back to green again, keeps doing this so i have an intermittent connection.

 

Do you think it is a communication issue? someone has mention checking the Wan is set to auto negotiate but i cannot see the setting to check that.
