The TP link RE200 range extender is not detecting 5G band as host when connected with Jio Fiber router. However it connects with host 2.4G band. I have two TP link range extenders but it's same problem with both . I have tried changing channel of 5G band of jio router to 36 but still TP link range extender is not detecting 5G band

Hello,

 

Please help to confirm the following details for troubleshooting:

1. When the RE200 scans 5GHz host WiFi, does it detect any other 5GHz WiFi except for the 5G band of Jio Fiber router? or no any 5GHz WiFi detected?

2. Is your 5GHz WiFi working fine on other client devices when they are at same location as the RE200?

3. How far is it between RE200 and your Jio Fiber router?

4. Is the RE200 a new product? If not, was it working fine before on 5GHz WiFi?

5. What is the hardware and firmware version of the RE200?
