Model: TL-WA1201
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 220118

Why the HELL TL-WA1201 does not support mac filtering whitelist?

Blacklist option is bullsh*t. We need to only allow certain devices.

Can this be fixed by a firmware upgrade?

Or should we throw the useless tl-wa1201 v3 away and buy another access point?

  @Dimitris7

The TL-WA1201  is an access point and not a switch or router.   Its generally the role of switches and router to perform filtering, APs are purely to offer WiFi connectivity to the LAN

Other vendors may offer some MAC filtering, controls etc in their APs

  @Dimitris7 TP-Link TL-WA901ND  has the correct MAC filtering why not in WA1201 ? Now it is completely useless nobody can enter all the MAC addresses in the world except the allowed ones. Needs firmware update to change "deny" in "Allow" this is a clear mistake of the programmers.
