I can successfully use an android phone to provide internet to my router via USB as a 3G/4G modem but when I try the same sim card on an iphone 11 I do not get internet access via the iphone. It seems that the iphone and the router protocol can now work together.

I have found a work around which is not ideal, which is is using the iphone to provide access to internet to my laptop and then share the connection to the Ethernet connection which then provides WAN internet to the router, but that requires the laptop to be active all the time.

Is there any solution to enable the iphone USB tethering wo work with this model of router? TL-MR3420
