Hi,

When I first installed the X50 mesh unit a couple months back, I was getting good 600-80Mbps across each of my main and 2 satellite units.

I tested earlier today and found that my main was giving 800Mbps (wifi and ethernet connection) but both my satellite units seemed to be capped at 100Mbps (wifi and ethernet).

My units are all connected via ethernet cables. I've tried setting the QoS to max 1000 Mbps, reset the units, swapped cat5e and 6 cables. Nothing seems to work.

Seems like it is a software setting issue but I can't be sure. Some help would be very much appreciated.

  @Ced_Ho

If you disconnect your Satellite Deco from Ethernet cable, will it still be capped at 100Mbps? You can test it with just one Satellite.

---

Bring Satellite Deco to same room as Main Deco, place it about 6 feet (2 meters) away from Main Deco, with unobstructed view of it. Do not wire Satellite to Main, they should use WiFi backhaul.

Connect laptop or desktop by Ethernet cable to Satellite Deco - and ensure laptop/desktop has gigabit Ethernet card. Verify Ethernet link speed reported on desktop/laptop is gigabit. Run speed test.

  @Alexandre.

Thanks for the reply. When I tested the same satellite later in the evening (exact same set up), it gave me about 900Mbps. After 5 minutes, it dropped back to 80Mbps. It makes me think that the problem is with my home's wired connection.

I will also test your suggestion when I'm home to ascertain if the issue is with the Deco unit.
