Model: Archer T9UH
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi, I would really appreciate any help on this.

my wireless connection from my desktop isn't operating as I had expected. There is only about 4 metres between the EAP and the T9UH but I don't ever get anything other than 867 mbps. I thought I would get some simultaneous dual band tech in action and combine the full capability of the 5ghz and the 2.4. Both bands are available on the EAP which is configured using the Omada setup system.

the desktop os is windows 11

thanks again for any pointers.

Hello   @Stux

T9UH 5Ghz supports1300Mbps ( 3 MIMO: 433*3 Mbps) Max Transmit Rate and EAP225 supports 867Mbps (2* MIMO: 433*2 Mbps) on 5Ghz as its spec here.

So the adapter and AP can synchronize at most  867Mbps Wi-Fi link speed or Transmit Rate on 5Ghz

Hope this helps explains.

As checked most EAP works on 2* Mimos, among them  some Wi-Fi 6 or 160Mhz models could get higher link speed and that requires to update both AP and wifi card.

@Solla-topee Thanks for the reply, has really helped.

I was under the wrong impression that I would get an aggregate of the combined 2.4 and 5ghz bandwidth at the client, not just the AP. I'm sure I'm not the first!

I've ordered an EAP245, I think that will get me to 1300mbps with the T9UH.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond and help.

@Stux  Nice choice! EAP245 also supports 1300Mbps on 5Ghz with 3 MIMO, T9UH should get 1300Mbps Max Link speed when work with it.

Thanks for the sharing~
